Well Bridger made it through another night without ECMO. They tried to wake him a little this morning, but he did not tolerate that well and they paralyzed him again. They continue to try and reduce the swelling in increase his blood. We are going to take everything very slow and see if he can handle the huge changes his body has gone through.

I'm glad to hear he has avoided the ecmo so far. That is amazing. Staci, I guess Bridger wanted to show you he didn't like the odds of 90% coming out on ecmo. :o) What a brave little fighter you have! Keep us updated and give that cute little boy big kisses from me.

It's because he's a Utah fan! That's why he's so tough!
I agree with Meghan! What a fighter. We are so releived to hear that he made it through the surgery at all, then to hear that he wasn't on the ECMO and doing well was amazing. I think he has a little stubborn "Smith" gene inside him.
The Tapp-Rudrow fam's thoughts and prayers are with you all daily. Sari(our 1 yr old) looked at the pics on the slide show & after saying "cute baby, cute baby," she said at east a dozen times, "babies eyes, babies eyes!" I think that even babies as young as one can see the fight and will in Bridger's eyes. He is a tough little guy! Our prayers will continue to be with you all. We love you!
