Bridger went to surgery yesterday, where they were able to place a central line in his right facial vein. You can't see any part of it except where it comes out of the body in his chest. I think this will be much better where he won't have anything impeding his arms or legs. This morning his breathing tube was taken out and he was placed on high flow oxygen (this is what we have at home). Also this morning the cardiologist in the ICU informed us that there are four other centers to send Bridger's paperwork to for heart-lung transplant. So the ones on the list are St. Louis, Texas Children's, Pittsburgh,
Philadelphia, Nationwide children's, and Miami. Here's hoping that at least one of them will be able to see more than just Bridger's chart, maybe they will be able to understand his strength and resiliency. After Bridger was
extubated, I was able to pick him up all by myself (when he is
intubated, it takes 3 people to get him in my arms) what a gift to be able to pick him up again whenever I want! Today has, so far, been a great day!

I am so excited for you two. Bridger is a beautiful baby and I really enjoy hearing his accomplishments and drive. You all are always in my prayers.
Oh Yay! That is great! I am soooo happy you get to hold him tube free!!!
That is a GREAT Day!
Great news Danny and Staci!! Finally! I'm glad you're able to hold Bridger again, and that he's on high flo, and not intubated anymore. I'm sure Bridger is much happier! I hope he is anyway. Please keep the information coming on the possible transplant. We are hoping and praying this can be a short process, and be what you guys have been waiting for. Love you all! Heather
Good to know there are more options for the transplant. I'm sure someone will see how strong Bridger is and accept him.
Great job keeping the positive attitude. Enjoy the little Bridger Steps!
That's some great news Staci. I'm glad you got to pick him up by yourself and I love that you are enjoying the small (but important) accomplishments. We love you guys. I'll send some positive vibes to those other centers that can give Bridger the transplant he needs. Happy Pioneer Day!
Lets hope it is Texas Children's so you can be 20 miles from us, and we can bring you good Texas BBQ (or whatever you want) and for anyone that wants to visit they can stay at our house. We are praying for ya'll (you will have to get used to this one, I did)

Oh yeh! I remember that feeling of doing it all by myself. I still sometimes feel that way. I am so glad that there are more options. He is a super trooper. We have clinic on Thursday. I know you don't like to leave his room but if you wanted to meet for lunch or just come out and say hi that would be fun. Always praying for you guys.
Thank you for being youu
