Bridger is 11 months old today! Our little man is growing up. Bridger slept pretty well last night and was up bright and early today. Dr. Mallory (head of lung transplant) came in this morning and said that since Bridger is AB+ he is a universal recipient for his organs. That is great news because he will be able to receive a heart and lungs from any donor, not just specific blood types. He started working with physical therapy this morning and did well, he has been standing more and more. Bridger now has 7 teeth that have come through his little mouth and seems to get taller every day. The teams are meeting about Bridger tomorrow morning and we should have some more definitive answers after that.

Happy Birthday!! That is amazing! I am so grateful that things are going well there. I am also very excited that he is a has a universal blood type that will hopefully not make the wait so long. We continue to fast and pray for your little man. He defiantly has a spirit about him. Much love, Hilary
I am another heart mom here at primary's right now. Congrats on the good news! That is awesome that he is a universal donor. My little girl just went through surgery number two. This time it was less eventfull. Last time her heart gave couldn't tolerate it. Now that your in Texas, I was wondering if your husband needed any buddy passes? My mom is a flight attendant. Staci, I can't tell you how hopeful I am feeling today. I really believe things are progressing, and that Bridger is on his way to his big 1st birthday, just one of many! WOW! 11 months old! I can't believe all you've been through in the last year and a half. Bridger is such a blessing. He has the most beautiful blue eyes. Please give him lots of kisses from all of us, and I'm sending you a big hug too!! Thanks so much for the update, and I hope you can feel all of our love from back in Utah!

Happy 11 months Bridger! I'm so happy we have some good news concerning his care at Tezas Childrens. Way to go Dr. Mallory!! Keep us posted when you hear more from the transplant team.
