Done with Surgery

Bridger's surgery is over and it's considered a success. The surgeon said it went well. The new valve is in place and seems to be working as it should. The doctors are watching a few surgery related issues at this time, but they aren't supposed to be serious. Danny and Staci were going to be able to see him at about 3:30 today but I haven't heard anything since. Staci wasn't sure if they closed up his chest after surgery because they didn't say anything about it. We'll just wait to see.

Danny and Staci were in good spirits as were the doctors. We will still pray for Bridger to make a speedy recovery from this latest surgery and that he won't be in too much pain. What a trooper! Everyone loves you Bridger...even people who don't know you or your parents. The community is rooting for you. Keep up the good work!

It's true. Lots of people are praying for all of you, many who've never met you. Way to be strong, Bridger. Hang in there Danny and Staci. Hopefully life will get more normal once he recovers from this surgery.

Danny, you may not even remember us, we're Jessi Eskelson's family, Derek Chatwin's girlfriend from HS. But, we remember you and when Derek told us of your beautiful little guy he and your family have been in our prayers every night. I check the website and thank our Heavenly Father for each and every milestone Bridger braves through and I thank God, usually with more than a few tears for his successes. He is so beautiful and I pray you have all the time in the world to watch him grow, start school, have his first girlfriend, go to college, get married and have his own babies. Life throws us curveballs and dodge every one of them sweetie...Bridger is. You truly do have a world of people who are praying, thinking of you and sending lots of love and caring your way...even those you may or may not know.

BTW...It's obvious you're "Red" fans...and I was in such a hurry to mail the package to you guys I didn't even put a note in it. Jessi made the hats for the three of you so you could root for your team and keep your ears warm!!

I am so so happy the surgery went well. You have been in our thoughts since we found out about little Bridger.

Hugs,
Yvonne Eskelson
