The Services
Danny and I want to thank all of you for your endless prayers and support. We love our little boy more than anything and though we have always known this would come, we secretly hoped that he could continue to perform miracles. I think that if it were up to his soul, he would still be here, amazing us at every turn. Unfortunately his body could no longer keep up. I was with him when it happened and was able to hold him for hours afterward until Danny arrived in Texas. We do not regret giving Bridger every chance at life, but my heart is broken that he was not cared for by his family at Primary's in his last moments of life. Even the short time we were in Texas, he had the staff hooked. More than one person came tearfully to our room after he passed. He is just so amazing. The funeral services will be this Saturday, August 15, 2009 @ 11:00am at Jenkins-Soffe Funeral Home (4760 S. State Street) with a viewing at 10:00 that morning as well as Friday evening from 6:00-8:00pm. Danny and I are so grateful to all those who have been a part of Bridger's life, as well as ours. We are especially touched by all of our family at Primary who had a part in helping our boy be so happy, even living in a hospital.

I have thought of you all day long. What a sobering day it has been. I know that Bridger will be with you someday. Until then may you feel peace and love knowing that he DOES live on. I pray that you may feel the warmth of his spirit embrace you.

My heart breaks for both of you. Bridger was such an amazing little boy. He touched so many lives in his 11 months here on Earth. Call me whenever and I am planning on coming this weekend. I am so sorry that you have to go through this, nothing is more difficult.

Oh Staci...
My heart!! I cannot see through the tears. I just want you to know that I have been glued to your little Bridger and prayed and prayed for your sweet baby. This is never what is expected to happen to such precious children, but I do know that Heavenly Father will give you the strength to get through this.
If there is anything I can do for you please let me know. I will be in Utah in a few weeks and would love to bring something by. You probably aren't up for visitors, but it can be dropped off.

Danny & Staci, I am so sorry that I won't be able to make it to the viewings or to the funeral. If I could change my plans I would do it in a heartbeat so I could be there. I want you to know that Sweet Bridger touched my life and that I really enjoyed the time that I had with your family, I just wish that it was under different circumstances. Please know that you if you need anything, you can always call or email me. Thank you for teaching me about strength and determination and really how to be a good parent and be an advocate for my child. You are wonderful parents and Bridger was sent to you for that reason. He couldn't have been loved any better! Take care and know that I'm there with you in spirit.

He is SO beautiful. Those eyes will melt my heart forever. Thank you for all the pictures you took and sent by email and posted here. Bridger has wedged a part of his soul into our family. Thank you for bringing him into this world. He did great things in his time on earth.
Our prayers and condolences are with you. Thank you for the courageous example you set. Though not as long as most, Bridger did in fact live a lifetime and I'm grateful he experienced such commitment and love from his parents throughout it.

We were in the PICU during one of our stays when I was having a really rough day! We were on our way to surgery, when you gave me the most comforting smile. I will always remember that. What a hard but what a peaceful time this may be for you both. I don't know you but know you through the eyes of angels. I know Bridger was greeted with many other heart babies telling him its ok. I hope and pray for comfort and whatever else you may need at this time.

I am so sorry to hear of your sweet little Bridger's passing. I found your blog tonight off of another heart blog. I think I met one of Bridger's grandmother's in Famous Footwear a few days ago. She told me she had followed Gracie's blog and I asked her who her little grandson was.
When I heard that he needed a heart and lung transplant my heart sank. I know what a road that experience can take you on. So, so sorry that the road has lead you here. He has the brightest eyes and smile about him. You can see your pure love for him. He will forever be missed. Best of luck to you and your family.
