Bridger had a pretty good day yesterday. He might be working on another infection, but he is still in good spirits considering. Last night our nurse took us out on the terrace to watch the fireworks! It was great, yet another holiday we were able to celebrate as a family.

Turns out we weren't the only ones with this idea and another mom brought glow necklaces for all of the patients. Bridger didn't know quite what to think. He wasn't that interested in the fireworks either, but more in the kids he saw around us. But it was still fun.

We have been able to take a few short walks with our nurse. Bridger just likes to kick back and enjoy the ride. We have interest from Texas Children's and Pittsburgh Children's to have us go to their facility for evaluation and St. Louis Children's has said "yes" they are willing to evaluate Bridger. We are hoping to have something lined up sometime this week. Until then we are going to keep going for short walks-if Bridger is up to it and maybe even go home for a couple of days before we make our move.
Where ever we go the evaluation can take up to a month before they say whether or not they will put him on the transplant list, this means that no matter what Bridger and I will be gone for a while. I guess this is one way for us to see a new city, even if it is just looking out of our hospital window. Always a new adventure!

It's so great to see Bridger out and about. Texas Children's and Pittsburg are both great hospitals. Pittsburg was our next stop if Stanford was a no go. They just moved into their brand new hospital in May and it's gorgeous.
We'll continue to pray for you all!

Dear Danny and Staci,
You are so amazing. I love you. I don't think doctors and hospitals should make a decision on Bridger until they can see what a fighter he is. He is determined to live and he deserves that chance. I am sure he will get it. Take care.
Love, Grandma
Yay for the fireworks. I watched fireworks from my hospital room at primary's as a youth- no glow sticks though ;-)
I miss not having a huge 24th celebration!
He looks so great in his stroller- look at him go!
Hopefully the location you decide to pursuer will do a rush eval and get him listed. I am sorry you have to relocate! We will be praying for you!! How wonderful it will be to have a few days at home!!
Always looking on the bright side of things! That is so awesome that you got to see the fireworks as a family. You guys are sure cute. Let me know if you need me to bring anything up on Thursday, more cookies, etc., any cravings. Just let me know.
I loved seeing you today via web cam! Bridger is super cute and looks so happy. Thank you for letting us invade your hospital room and talk with you for a while. It was great to "see" you all.
